Where to fish?

Hi all once again I am contemplating  another fishing session but I am not sure whether to go North of the river or south. I have heard 1 or 2 fish are being caught on the boats in the river but quite patchy. I have recently tried Chapel marsh and Withernsea and had no sucess I am beginning to wonder what fish look like and have to read my Sea angler to remind me what they look like !!! any body got any ideas?
