Making A Purchase

Purchasing is simple. Just explore our Catalogue, select the items you’d like, and add them to your shopping cart. When you’re ready, click “Checkout” and provide the brief information we need to process your order.

We are committed to providing quality products at competitive prices from trusted suppliers. Our prices are regularly reviewed to ensure we provide our customers with good value at a competitive and fair price.

From time to time our prices may increase or decrease due to market forces outside of our control. There are many reasons that can affect prices from raw material cost, production schedules, exchange rates and transportation. These all lead to price increases or decreases.

Shipping And Handling

FREE STANDARD POSTAGE is available on all orders over £75.00 going to a UK Mainland address (Excluding Scottish Highlands)

POSTAGE RATES

UK Mainland (Excluding Scottish Highlands)

  • Small slim items – Large Letter – £1.95.
  • Larger orders up to 1kg – 1st class small packet – £3.75.
  • Large Items over 1kg will be sent by Next Working Day delivery – £7.95
  • Next Working Day delivery is available on orders placed before 12 noon (Monday – Thursday) – £8.95

DELIVERY SCHEDULE

At Squids In SEA BAITS, we endeavour to process and dispatch your order as swiftly as possible. Orders placed before 12:00 PM are normally sent the same day. Our Next Working Day service aims to deliver on the following business day – please note that orders placed after 12:00 PM on Thursday arrive on Monday, and those placed after 12:00 PM on Friday (or over the weekend) arrive on Tuesday.

Our 1–3 Day option often lands the next business day but isn’t guaranteed and may take a little longer. Small items ship via Royal Mail; larger parcels go via FedEx or DPD.

During periods of peak demand we may not be able to keep up with our normal despatch schedule so if your order is time critical please e-mail us at sales@squidsinseabaits.com to let us know that your order is urgent

1 to 3 day parcels should in theory be, and in many cases are, delivered the following working day. Alas at times it can take slightly longer and we regret that we cannot take any action with regards to delayed 1st class parcels until 14 working days after despatch.

All delivery times are estimates only and Squids In SEA BAITS cannot guarantee delivery times due to any inconsistency, bad weather or other unavoidable problem with the carriers or the Royal Mail.

If you feel that your order is overdue please e-mail sales@squidsinseabaits.com and we will investigate for you.

All next Working Day and large parcels will require a signature on delivery so please ensure that someone will be available at the delivery address to sign for the parcel.

Should we be unable to deliver your goods as agreed Veals Mail Order will contact you to arrange an alternative delvery time. Should no alternative arrangements be possible a full refund will be made.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will either be emailed, or notified with the remainder of the order in the case of part orders, If you wish to cancel a part order please let us know by email sales@squidsinseabaits.com or by phone on 07854827729

Tax Charges

All orders include UK VAT at 20%.

Credit Card Security

Our shopping cart is totaly secure and is held on a secure server. Credit/Debit Card Payments are taken through our secure payment service provider, SellerDeck Payments. This system is in-line with the latest best practise and your card details are not submited to, or held by, Squids In SEA BAITS.

Guarantee

Our aim is to try and guarantee your satisfaction and to this end we endeavour to check that all items are correct before despatch. In the unlikely event that there is something wrong with the order we will try and rectify the problem as quickly as possible. If an item is found to be defective upon receipt we will replace it at our expense as soon as we receive the faulty item back. Warranty & Guarantee – Most of our products come with a full manufacturer’s warranty against manufacturing defect, normally for 12 months from the date of purchase. Please note this warranty only covers faults caused by manufacturing defect and will not cover any faults which are a result of neglect, misuse, modification or general wear and tear. If a product becomes faulty during use please contact us and we will advise you how to make a warranty claim. (This does not affect your statutory rights).

Warranty & Guarantee exceptions

(*1) – ROD RINGS – Please note rod rings are fragile and susceptible to damage should a rod be dropped or misused. Most manufacturers will NOT replace a rod which has been used just because it has a damaged ring so please make sure to check all rod rings before first use of the fishing rod and report any problems to us within 7 working days of receiving the rod and before the rod has been used.

(*2) – MAINTAINANCE – Salt water is a very corrosive environment and you have a duty of care to ensure that the item purchased is cleaned and maintained correctly after use. Failure caused by lack of maintenance will be deemed as negligence and will not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

. If you are not totally satisfied with your purchase for any reason then you may return it to us for an exchange or refund. You have 14 days from receiving the product, within which time you may return it. Please notify us before returning the item and also make sure to include your name, address and instructions with the returned item.

The cost of the goods and the standard delivery charge, if any, will be refunded, so long as the goods are unused and in saleable condition. It is the buyers responsibility to ensure the goods are of resalable condition before being returned. We retain the right to deduct upto 20% of the value of the goods if the goods returned are deemed unfit for resale.

Your postage charges for the return of the goods will not be refunded and the goods are your responsibility until received by us. For returning expensive items we recommend that you use registered post.

Complaints

If for any reason you are not totally happy with our goods or services and have a complaint, please email us at sales@squidsinseabaits.com. All complaints will be acknowledged personally, within 5 working days. We will endeavour to reach a solution with you within 7 working days. All complaints will be logged so that we can monitor them for internal usage only
