Attention Buck Beck Beach Anglers!

If you’re heading out for a session, be aware that most people park at St Anthony’s Bank car park or anywhere available on Meridian Road — a hotspot for Smoothhounds right now. However, the council has started locking the only road in and out (Meridian Road) at 10 pm sharp. If you get locked in, they’re not keen on coming out to open it, so plan your trip accordingly!

There’s alternative parking available opposite the Oriental Express on Kings Rd, Cleethorpes DN35 0AG. Normal parking restrictions still apply, but you won’t risk getting locked in. It’ll add roughly 5 minutes to your walk to the mark as you have to pass through the Cleethorpes Boating Lake.

When visiting Buck Beck Beach, aim to arrive at least 3 hours before high tide to avoid getting trapped in the salt marsh. This area floods quickly and can be dangerous, so plan your trip with the tide in mind. The return from high water can be just as hazardous — take care on both your way out and back.
