Keep frozen until required and defrost only the amount needed for your fishing session.
Bait Tip
When preparing Bluey, keep the silver skin attached to help strengthen the softer flesh and provide additional visual attraction in the water.
For Rays and other larger species, cut a substantial fillet or section and secure it firmly to the hook with bait elastic. Make a few shallow cuts into the flesh before mounting the bait to help expose more of the oily flesh and encourage scent release.
