Description
Frozen King Prawns – 1kg Bulk Sea Fishing Bait Box
Our Frozen King Prawns 1kg Box is a convenient bulk sea fishing bait for anglers targeting bass, smoothhounds, rays, wrasse and other coastal species.
King prawns have soft flesh and a natural crustacean scent. As a result, they offer a versatile alternative to traditional worm, squid and fish baits.
Each box contains 1kg of frozen king prawns, making it ideal for regular fishing trips or keeping a supply of bait in your freezer.
Why Choose Our 1kg King Prawn Box?
- 1kg Bulk Bait Box – A larger quantity for regular sea fishing sessions.
- Natural Crustacean Scent – Releases scent into the water.
- Versatile Hook Bait – Use whole, cut into sections or combine with other baits.
- Suitable for Several Species – Try them for bass, smoothhounds, rays and wrasse.
- Frozen for Convenience – Keep a supply ready for future fishing trips.
What Fish Can You Catch with King Prawns?
Frozen king prawns are a useful bait option for bass, smoothhounds and rays. However, smaller sections can also be tried for wrasse, black bream, whiting, pollack, coalfish and flatfish.
For example, whole prawns create substantial hook baits for larger fish. Alternatively, cut sections provide smaller presentations when using lighter tackle.
How to Use Frozen King Prawns
Allow the prawns to thaw before preparing your bait.
First, choose a suitable hook for your target species. Then mount the prawn securely through a firm section of its body or tail, keeping the hook point exposed.
For longer casts, use bait elastic if needed to help hold the bait in place.
You can also cut the prawns into smaller pieces or combine them with squid or worm to create a mixed bait presentation.
Storage & Handling
Keep frozen until use. Thaw only what you need for your fishing session. Also, handle raw bait carefully and keep it separate from food.
