What Fish Can You Catch with Baby Squid?
Frozen baby squid is a useful bait for cod, bass and rays. However, you can also try smaller strips when targeting bream and dogfish.
For example, whole baby squid can make a larger bait presentation for cod or bass. Alternatively, smaller strips work well on compact rigs or as part of a mixed bait.
You can also combine squid with lugworm or fish bait to create a natural bait cocktail.
How to Use Frozen Baby Squid
You can fish baby squid whole or cut it into strips and sections.
For larger fish, use a whole squid on a suitable hook. Then secure it with bait elastic if needed, keeping the hook point exposed.
